Cool VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Good morning Sorors. I send you greetings from the Sunshine State of Florida. I am writing to encourage all Sorors everywhere who is able to vote to go out and Vote!!!.
I was looking at Oprah yesterday and she talked about the struggle we as blacks and women had to go through to get the opportunity to get our voices heard. I've always known that and has always used my priviledge to vote since I've been of age to vote. Well during her show she told the story of a guy whose dad walked 20 miles to vote and was unable to vote. He died before the next elections came around, so his son now votes in the name of his father to honor him. His father is his inspiration to vote, to have his voice heard in America. Well on my way to work this morning I was thinking about my grandmother who passed last year 12/99. She also too advantage of her opportunity to vote too. So in honor of her and all the people who fought and died for us to have this chance I am going to Vote in their names. I hope that all of you do the same. Encourage those you know that are registered voters and don't have a desire to vote to go out and vote.
I'm proud to say that one of my older sisters is a registered voter and will vote today. In fact we are going to vote together.
Much love to all of you,
Stace

I voted this morning before coming to work. I'm sure the day will be full of surprises...

I agree with your statements about the struggle that many had to endure to attain the freedoms we now in enjoy. Remember, "Freedom Ain't Free". Honor the price paid by many by casting your vote today !

Please Sorors, Sisterfriends and members of the Greek letter community,

Take the time out today and bring a couple of people along to vote. I do not care who you vote for but just vote. It is our right as a public and community to be heard.

Heather
p.s. Some much is at stake at every election
