March Madness 2006 Smack Talk Thread

Because the other thread is about a GC pool, I figured I'd start this for those fans whose team is going to the dance.

With that in mind, GO SAN DIEGO STATE! WE FINALLY HAVE A WINNING PROGRAM TO BE PROUD OF, COX ARENA IS ROCKIN', AND WE'RE GOING TO THE SWEET 16 BABY!!!!

According to ESPN Bracketology, we play Wichita State first. YOU'RE GOING DOWN!

UConn beat Nova yesterday, hopefully it's the sign of good things to come. Nothing would make me happier than a run through the Big East tourney, then going through the NCAA's to the title.

Uconn is a hot team this year... but that nova victory will be short lived... i think the only reason they won was because they were after revenge and they were at home...

A big part of it is that they finally got some good play from Dedham Brown (22 points), and Jeff Adrien had a very good game.

I love me some IUPUI!!! ESPN bracketology says they're out as of now though with the Hoosiers in. Could be fun. I don't hate Ohio State, but it gets old hearing about OSU football 365/24/7 even if the basketball teams are doing well. Trust me, even if they make it to the Sweet 16 or higher, they'll still be talking football around here. Silly people

Speaking of Mr. Lunardi's Bracketology, he's got my Kentucky Wildcats #11 in the DC regional, assigned to Greensboro w/ UNC as a #3 and dUKe #1. Someone just hates us this year, I swear, someone really hates us. GO CATS!

Go Kent State! #1 in MAC East! We went to I *think* the Elite 8 in 2002. Drew Carey (KSU and Delt alum) came to the bars and bought rounds of drinks for everyone!

DH was sweet enough to call me in for the Florida State game with about 30 seconds left. That was a priceless win. Have they ID'd the first kid who charged the floor yet? All I was thinking was if FSU lost on a crowd control technical, that kid would be toast.
