I'm so addictated to . . . .
Sorhors and Friends,
I have a confession to make! I'm so addicted to the following re-runs and old shows:
Law and Order (original)
Law and Order (Criminal Intent)
CSI (original)
CSI (Miami)
Matlock
Diagnosis Murder
Hawaii Five-0 (Bookem' Danno!) I know I'm showing my age!
Right now I'm typing this message and watching Law and Order on TNT.
I know that some of you folks are just as addicted to a favorite show, movie, book, song. etc. that you have to watch, read, and/or listen to it over and over again. What's your addiction?
A side note:
Law and Order will reuse their criminals and victims over and over again in different episodes. How do they get away with that and still keep such a large following?

Folks,
How do we get sucked into these shows?
Everytime TNT, USA, Or TBS pulls a marathon on any of those shows. I will sit down and watch them like they are brand new.
I totally forgot about Cosby, Fresh Prince, the Jeffersons, the Golden Girls, etc.
I find myself singing their intro songs. Thank you for being a friend. . . .

The final half hour of Imitation of Life is so heartbreaking, starting with Sara Jane's mother finding her dancing and her roommate thought she was the maid and she said goodbye but whispered "Mama", then when she was on her deathbed and she was saying how she wanted things done and Lana Turner screams out "Annie!" when she dies. My tears get to flowing when Mahalia Jackson starts singing "Troubles of the World". That is a great movie.

Folks,
I also love the original black and white movie "The Bad Seed"
The movie is about a little girl who kills for material comfort.
For example, she kills her upstairs neighbor for her bird, her classmate for his shiny medal, and she burns up the grounds keeper because he teases her and gets ahold of the shoes she used to kill her classmate. It's such a wonderful classic and many times you can catch it on Turner's Classic Movies.

OOOh, yeah!
There's a remake of this movie with Blair Brown (I wanna say it's from the '80's, but I'm not sure) but it's just not as good as the original, and on this same vein is the movie with Macauley Culkin and Elijah Wood, where EW plays the cousin that goes to visit MC and his family for a while. If you haven't seen it, you need to.
And I forgot to add "Frasier" to the mix as well. I was a diehard fan. I also love "Scrubs" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" (I knew there'd be more!).

Btb87,
The movie with Macauley is called "The Good Son" it has a great ending.
When I was an undergraduate I used to hang out at the Amber Lantern because I lived in West Towers and they would always have their TV Screens on "Cheers" and I had to stop by every evening to watch that show. Yes, I have two degrees from U of De.
