It was lovely, although unfortunately I didn't have the best vantage point during the ceremony, and I was really sleepy during the whole thing! I was talking to my big sis afterward and she said "Do you remember when (*insert part of ritual here*) happened?" and I had no idea what she was talking about! So I really can't wait to go through the initiation ceremony again on the other side...just to be able to understand and know everything going on!

Copacabana, your chapter should have a ritual review very soon where you'll go over everything. Everyone is overwhelmed or too busy looking around the room to take in everything during initiation! You can participate in it a number of times and still continue to discover new things.

If there's not a ritual review scheduled, ask when it will be scheduled!

I am so with you! My viewing area was difficult as well, but my "big sis" went over things with me afterwards. The ritual review will help as well.

It's so great now to understand all the different parts. I've always loved the crest, but now it has so much more meaning!

Ooh I have a question: I believe I remember hearing something about a KD yahoo group of sorts? I haven't got my number yet so I can't join it, but can someone clue me in on how to join when I can?

An initiation ceremony was held at Convention. It was the first initiation ceremony I have attended in YEARS!!! It is amazing how much comes back to you when you see it. Each time you go through, something else will strike you. You will always remember, while at the same time you will always learn.
