Seen moveOn.org's anti-Thanksgiving ad?

Maybe you've seen the ad aired by the dominant moveOn.org wing of the Dem party, showing weeping wives missing their men (pictured getting fed) who are in Iraq. They didn't quite get it right, according to one Irag vet:

"These are not your normal everyday U.S. soldiers though (in the picture). If you look at the frame they are actually British soldiers. One is in shorts (we don't have shorts as a normal combat uniform) and the others are all clearly wearing British pattern fatigues. So, my point is that these [turkeys] pretend to argue on my behalf and bash the president in the name of my crying wife, and they don't even know what an American soldier looks like! Anyway, it really [ticked] me off."

(My guess: prepared by the Michael Moore School of Film Making)

Do you think - somewhere deep in the lower levels of some DC building (or maybe in the Utah Dept. of Physics) - that the "Hanoi Hilton Veterans for Truth" are planning to tell some stories if McCain becomes a serious '08 candidate?

Sure. Probably the Jeb Bush for President campaign office.

Why not just brush off the old material used to slag McCain; you know the stuff that the Bush camp used during the campaigning to become the Republican presidential candidate - I mean all Rove would have to do is spruce it up a bit to be fresh.

Getting back to the moveOn.org ad, apparently they now have photoshopped the picture for use on their website, with the guy wearing shorts now wearing long pants exactly like the guy next to him. He's still British, though.
