That was his display LAST YEAR.
Some info from Carson Williams, the designer and builder of this show:
The music is Wizards of Winter by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the display uses 88 LOR channels. The MEGA tree has 48500 lights, the triangle in the middle has 21 trees with 300 lights each (6300 lights) topped by the 22nd tree with 300 all white lights. During the vocal portion of the song he used blue icicles strung on a PVC and rebar fence. 18" rebar into the ground, slid a 24" piece of 1/2" PVC then add a 1 1/2" to 1/2" tee and placed the posts about 4' around the yard. The peace sign is 4' in diameter and is made of 3/8" aluminum rod. Although the music plays outside his house, for improved sound, he shot the video, then went back and dubbed the music in for better sound quality.

Sheez. Somebody has a lot of spare time on their hands.
There is a block near my in-laws' house, where all the families but one go all out for Christmas decorations. (When my husband first took me there, he said, "Guess which family is Jewish." ) Animated nativity scenes, angels, those stupid lighted deer, Santa and his sleigh, etc. People come from miles around.
Better not let them see this movie... Oh, wait - would it annoy my in-laws? <smirks> <starts emailing>

Does anyone think that he used stop motion animation to design this or is it really live in sync to the music......
