(just posted something similar on the chit chat board)

I just found out that I'm 1 of 3 finalists for a recipe contest through GOURMET magazine!!! I'm so excited, not to mention SHOCKED!! Unfortunately, the winner is chosen by online voting. If you have 2 seconds could you please vote? All you have to do is select a recipe (no signing up or contact info required).

You can vote every day through THURSDAY (NOVEMBER 17TH). My recipe is the "SHRIMP" one (Spicy Shrimp Grillades with Tomato Gravy).

I have to feed my Yankee husband his grillades with mashed potatoes, since he doesn't like grits. *sigh*

I have friends who are in a Gourmet Club - there are 8 couples, and they each take a week and make a wonderful meal for the others. I think that's a GREAT idea!

They apparently have had some typos on their website!! It should say check back Dec 1 (not Nov 1), and apparently voting doesn't end Thursday, it ends TODAY!!!! Yikes!!! So hopefully this means I'll get the results sooner and not have to wait over the weekend! I'll let you know if I hear anything and thanks again! You're all so SWEET!!!
