Work Question

Hey Ladies!

I have a question for all of you all. I am going to keep this really short and if you all have any questions for me please PM me and I'll go into more detail about the situation.

Here's the question. Is your boss/supervisor allowed to talk to another employee about your time/schedule without your knowledge?

I wouldn't see why not. Unless they were giving personal information regarding your specific time/schedule (like: "Mary Sue can't work 10-7 on Thursday because she is going to get a lump removed from her breast.") then I'd say it was OK.

But I don't work in a scheduled environment anymore so I may not be the best person to answer!

I see where you are coming from I understand that point. But what if the supervisor has never spoke to you about your time/schedule, tells someone else about your time? Do I have a good complaint or do you think that I am wasting my time?

i think you should sit on it for a bit and see if something comes of it. or see if it happens again. then say something. but i think you are jumping the gun a little bit.
unless you feel very strongly about this, then do what you think is right.

I think that you may be right Shelley, I might have to sit on this one for a moment. But I don't want to sit on it for too long, either. Because I don't want to get into that situation of "why didn't you say something then instead of now." I'll sit on it for 2 weeks, but if it comes up again this week or even next week I will say something.

Short answer: yes, but I agree with what crzychx said about the other information... It may not be the most professional thing in the world to do, but nothing illegal about it.

You can certainly handle this in a non-confrontational way by saying something like "Supv, did you have questions about my schedule? "
