Hey does anybody have any cheap ideas to buy a big sister? I was thinking of maybe some crafty stuff, but I am not very creative...any help would be great!

See my sig - I have some inexpensive import bracelets on my site or beaded bracelets that I make, yet aren't too expensive.

I can't ship until next week however - leaving town today.

purchase a clear glass christmas ball ornament and three small bottles of acrylic paint-turquiose, gray and ivory or cream at a craft store. take the metal top off the ball, squeeze a bit of the turquiose paint into the hole and let it run down one side toward the bottom, then do the same with the other two paints on different sides of the ball. fold a paper towel into a small square, cover the balls opening with your paper towel and your thumb, and swirl. you should achieve a swirly, marbled effect. continue to swirl until the entire inside is coated. depending on how much paint you have used, you may need to invert the ball over a disposable plastic cup to drain. when drained, replace the metal top. you can buy a silver paint pen and write "ZTA", your big/little's name, the date, or a nice saying. this should cost you less than five dollars.

Sorry to crash your forum, but I just finished getting most of my big sis stuff so I completely understand what you're going through!
One good thing to invest in if you're planning on making your big sis a lot of stuff is paint pens. You can decorate practically anything with paint pens, and mine pretty much paid for themselves!
Now some gift ideas...
-you can buy an inexpensive picture frame and decorate it with your paint pens!
-in our house, we all bought our big sis' clipboards and decorated the back with paint pens so our big sis' all had really cool clipboards for meetings.
-you can buy a plastic container, decorate it with your paint pens and fill it with candy
-get a small glass candle holder (at least votive size, perhaps larger), paint it and fill it with potpourri (which costs like a dollar at walmart for a bag)

also, it's really fun to make gifts for your bigs with your pledge class-- you can all contribute to the paints, glue, rhinestones or whatever materials you use which makes it a lot cheaper for everyone-- plus you're bonding with your pledge class!

I hope this helps a little
