Tenneesse HS Freshman Kills Asst Principal
CHICAGO (AFP) - An assistant principal was killed and two other administrators remained in serious condition after a 15-year-old student opened fire with a handgun concealed under a napkin in a Tennessee high school.
The suspect opened fire shortly after 2 pm with a small caliber handgun, perhaps a .22, slipped under a napkin in a common area in the small town of Jacksboro about 50 kilometers (30 miles) north of Knoxville, Tennessee, CNN affiliate WATE reported Wednesday.
The suspect was detained by police after a teacher managed to wrestle away the handgun.
