New Movies out this week
Of the 6 or new movies out this weekend, both mainstream and independent, here are my mini-scores ( on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest ) on the ones I have seen so far:
1. Doom: 7, actually quite good for a video-game-turned-movie
2. Stay: 9, if you enjoyed Memento and the films of David Lynch, you will really love this mind-puzzler. Stick with the film from the first frame to the last. It is a challenge to watch at times due to it's non-linear plot line but by the time the last reel hits, you will be moved. IF YOU HAVE SEEN THIS FILM, PLEASE DO NOT REVEAL THE ENDING!!! IT IS THAT POWERFUL.
3. Dreamer: 8, A good film for the whole family and Dakota Fanning is not quite as annoying as in her previous films.
