Condi vs. Clinton?
Have never posted in the News & Politics form, but I heard the end of a radio conversation discussing a book on Condi vs. Hillary in 2008 presidential elections this week. Did anyone catch this or the book title?
I think Condi vs. Hillary this would be a great match up - two smart, articulate, and strong women - and U.S. would finally have a women president. Sadly though, I doubt either would win their respective party nominations.

The book is by Dick Morris. This guy was the Clinton advisor, who was sucking on some prostitutes toes, while talking on the phone to Bill Clinton (who was enjoying Monica at the same time).
He's a frequent talking head on TV shows, with a lot of background with the Clintons, but now on the Republican side too.
He thinks Hillary (44% approval) now has the Dem '08 nomination wrapped up (Kerry, Edwards 13%).
He is urging Condi as a Republican who can beat Hillary. Condi will split the black vote and the female vote, making it impossible for Hill to improve on Kerry-Edwards' 2004 total.
Condi will advance her candidacy by doing a great job as SOS, and won't actively campaign. Morris wants local Republicans to organize pro-Condi groups in every precinct, and to put pro-Condi delegates (but listed as "uncommitted" since Condi won't sign up officially) in the Iowa caucuses and NH ballot. Well organized local efforts could win both states for Condi, giving her the nomination before Convention time.
Strange theory, but it comes from a real knowlegeable guy - might work.
(Edited later to change author's name to Dick Morris)

The Bill Kristol I know is a neo-conservative who served as the chief of staff to Dan Quayle and founded the Project for the New American Century.
hoosier, do you remember which position the guy you;re talking about held during the Clinton administration?
Interesting trivia about Bill Kristol, he voted for the communist candidate during the 1984 Congressional election thinking that Tip O'Neal's sole opposition was a Republican.

I've corrected the name to Dick Moris, who was an advisor to Bill Clinton - maybe without a title.

I think it's likely that Condi - as a woman - would attract votes from women, and -as a black - would attract votes from blacks (certainly more than Bush-Cheney did).
She's got quite a resume - world class pianist, championship ice skater, pres (?) of Stanford Univ., Secretary of State, Natl. Security Advisor. No known liabilities.

Not sure, but I don't think she was President of Stanford -- maybe Provost? Still an impressive resume.

My Vote Goes for Geena Davis on Commander and then Condi!
Hilliary is an Out Moded B who is very smart but plays the Washington Game Mo Better and only to damn well!
I am not really sure that The USA or the World is Ready for a Female President.
To many Islamic Countrys still do not preceive Women as equals. Condi is doing well well but with alot of Big Guy backing.
OK, Thatcher was a Iron Madden, but persective for The Prime Minister of England!

Condi will not have my vote that's for sure. I never liked her and after the whole Katrina disaster I disliked her even more.

I love how they tell us who we're going to vote for in the primaries when candidates haven't even declared their interest and the elections are 3 years away. I wouldn't vote for either of them.
