Liam Neeson is my favorite actor ever. EVER. Although I've never read any of the Narnia books, the trailer looked interesting. And if Liam has anything in it, I'm there!

I think Liam Neeson has a great voice. I think he can do it.

I also think Patrick Stewart would have a great voice to play Aslan.

I'm so glad they chose him for Aslan! He fits that character perfectly! I seriously am there opening weekend...

I know I'm a little lat on this, but somehow the news slipped by me. I think Liam is a great choice! He has that tone of voice that sounds very wise. Any other new news for this movie???

I saw an extended trailer for the Narnia movie at a work event. It was absolutely beautiful. I plan to see that movie the first night it comes out even if I have to beat out a mob of kids and their parents to do it. I love C.S. Lewis and I loved these books, I can't wait for the film.

An extended trailer? Awesome - what do you do?

I am looking forward to this getting a decent adaptation - not that I didn't love the olde BBC version.

I've been checking updates on Narnia Web and they posted some neat pics you guys might like.

In Janice Dickinson's book "No Lifeguard on Duty" she said that she had an affair with Liam Neeson and he has the most massive p*nis she's ever seen.

Kind of off topic, but not too much so.

sigirl,
I work in Christian publising and we have a huge retailing event every June. The Narnia producers were there and had partnered with some of the biggest publishers to make inroads into the Christian market. The same technique was used for "The Passion of the Christ."
There was a whole sub-market of Narnia related items in anticipation of the film at this event. Bible studies, suggested sermon series, toys, sunday school materials etc...
But that's where I saw the trailer and it just looks absolutely beautiful. Tilda Swinton looks like a perfect White Witch (I originally was rooting for Cate Blanchett to get the part) and Liam Neeson, who is one of my person faves, is going to be fabulous as Aslan.

Yes, I agree! Liam is perfect for Aslan and the pictures I've seen of Tilda as the White Witch are amazing! Only 99 days to go til Narnia comes out!!! (I'm a dork, but what can I say? I soo excited!)

Awesome - but that is a fun job!

I agree, I like Tilda in the role. I can see how Cate would have been a good fit, but Tilda aligns better with some of the no named cast.

Yes, December's going to be a great movie month this year with Narnia and the next Harry Potter movie (from my favorite of all the books so far)!!!
There's just something about really good children's literature that does inspire the sort of "magical" feeling of anticipation.
And Liam Neeson is delicious I kind of wish we could SEE him too, but I'll settle for the gorgeous voice.

Oooh, there are seven excellent books out there. I've had em since I was like eleven... great reads!

I'm really excited about the movie! (And I so saw it coming after LOTR came out!)
