Man Slashed at Princeton Sorority Fund-Raiser Party

The students paper reports on the incident that took place at the Terrace Club, which I believe is one of Princeton's eating clubs:

http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/arc...ws/13501.shtml

Excerpts:

. . . The victim was hospitalized with at least nine slash wounds, treated and released later that day, police said Monday. No suspects have been identified. . . .

The incident occurred at an alcohol-free fundraising event sponsored by the campus chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, a predominantly black sorority, Terrace President Becky Gidel '06 said in an email.

"Among those invited to the party were members of the sorority and members of their brother fraternity," Gidel said.

Fraternities and sororities on campus are not officially recognized by the University.

Neither the suspects nor the victim appear to be connected with the University, Borough Police Lieutenant Nicholas Sutter said. . . .

Where should I start...

First off, at least the guy's OK but it's sad it had to be at the sorors' party.

They said that the guys were wearing black and silver shirts and blue or black bandanas around their wrists... are they sure they are not in gangs or a group of guys hating on the greeks (and trust me, they are out there).

And last, but not least: We DO NOT offically have a brother fraternity!

*whispering* But we do (unoffically) claim the Omegas!

Agreed, I'm glad the guy got treated and is OK. Also it seems good that none of the sorority sisters were injured. About the possible "gang" issue -- the Princeton student paper did say

Neither the suspects nor the victim appear to be connected with the University, Borough Police Lieutenant Nicholas Sutter said. The description also does not match any of the known gangs in the area, he said.

I admit that there certainly could be a "gang" or group that the local police are not aware of.

You would think smart girls like that wouldn't invite freak slashers to their parties.
