For my senior thesis (in Sociology), I examined whether At NCSU, Greeks, Varsity Athletes, or Students not Affiliated with either of those two groups participated in more sexual activity (specifically examined sexual intercourse and oral sex). It was a cohort study so the population that I studied were "traditional" students (ages 17-24). The population I studied was 600 students (200 from each category - split 100/100 male/female).
It was neat...but not really experimental I suppose.
One of my friends was in psychology and she examined whether scent really effects memory. She had people come in one at a time and smell a hanky sprayed with a scent - then they did an activity (read a childs book, color a picture, play with a stuffed animal, etc.), smelled another scent then did an activity, etc. Then after 8 scents she brought the subjects into a different room and had them smell the hankies and tell her what they were doing when they smelled that particular scent. It was neat too.

There are friends who pass like ships in the night, who meet for a moment, then sail out of sight, with never a backward glance of regret...Friends we meet briefly then quickly forget.
Then there are friends who sail together, through quiet waters and stormy weather. Helping each other through joy and through strife. And those are the kind who give meaning to life.
