Night Stalker

Tonight's episode of Night Stalker (ABC) deals with "a secret fraternity" whose initiation rituals spell death for the pledges. It starts in about 5 minutes on the East Coast, so try to tune in if you get a chance!

The original 1974 "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" staring Darren McGavin was pretty scary, at least for a 10 year old which I was at the time. It only lasted one season, but still has a cult following. It had some great classic monsters for Kolchak to chase in his rumpled searsucker suit.

The new sequel appears to have grade Z cast off X-File plots. Not very scary, but then I'm not 10 years old anymore either.

I saw the episode last night with the plot about college secret societies. It was the best so far for this series. I don't think this series will last any longer than it's predecessor.
