PR campaign

So we have a new PR campaign in the works, and it's already drawing attention on campus.

Last night after our chapter meeting, while the new members were in their meeting, we went to the new members rooms and decorated their doors. We had poster boards with AZD (heart) Sam, or whatever their name was. Then, in smaller writing, we wrote the rest of the girls names who are in the chapter. In the upper right and lower left corer, we put a picture of BetXi Bear and a rose, and we made roses out of tissue paper that were stapled in the other 2 corners. We put these posters on the girls dorm doors, and twisted double blue and gold streamers around the door frames. Unlike the (local colors) pink and white of the other sorority on campus, you could see blue and gold from both ends of the dorm hallway. Pink and white were on their new members door, but you couldnt see it unless you were right their at the door. Standing at the end of the hallway, you can tell "where the AZDs in the house" are. i gotta get pictures....

not only that, but we got car chalk (window paint) and started writing I (heart) AZD on our cars. We also got fraternity friends to allow us to put AZD (heart) SigmaPi, or whatever org they are in on the back of their cars. Even people who arent greek affiliated have said we could use their cars to put "GO AZD!" or whatever on them.

On the girls dorm floor, next to the elevators, the corridor area is surrounded in glass. We used the car chalk to put AZD on the windows in there, and wrote our new girls names and Xi love and stuff like that all over. I'm just waiting to see when someone from residence life comes complaining. What will they do? Fine us? Maybe, but probably not, at worst, I bet they'll just make us clean it up. But if it's only up for a day, it's enough for people to see.

We hadn't quite finished painiting the windows when one of our new girls came up the elevator. When she saw us and what we were doing, her jaw dropped and her eyes got real big and she said "I love you guys, y'all are awesome." You see, she's one of the girls that is literally surrounded on all sides by new members of the other sorority and they've apparently, been starting alot of crap lately (writing nasty grams on her message board on her door and stuff like that).

I totally hope that when people walk around campus and see AZD on cars, that it works for us. We have had alot of support from all but one fraternity on campus this semester, and hopefully, things will be on the up and up for us soon =)
