Maya Angelou Lectureship @ Duke
I went to the Maya Angelou Lectureship today at Duke University. The lectureship was sponsored by the Beta Theta chapter and all university freshman were required to come. It was AMAZING!! Dr. Angelou was an awesome speaker and it was great to see so many DG friends there...including our international officers. We could not get pictures with Dr. Angelou, but here is a picture of me and Sherri (our international President). Sherri and I became friends when DG was expanding to NCSU during our colonization. She is a breast cancer survivor so we really connected. It's awesome that she is now our President.

Then there are friends who sail together, through quiet waters and stormy weather. Helping each other through joy and through strife. And those are the kind who give meaning to life.
