Shower Gift Ideas

My cousin's bridal shower is next week, and I have no idea what to get her! I want to get her something "different" and special, yet I don't want to get her anything that is too unconventional. Any ideas? Thanks

bubble bath solution, soap on a rope, head and shoulders, shower caps... why do you need a gift to take a shower?

Okay, I know this will sound strange, but I got lassoed into going to a wedding shower once when visiting my former fiance (his mother took me). I didn't want to show up without anything, yet I wasn't about to spend much time or money on this, either.

So, I bought a gift card to Red Lobster! I knew that they both loved seafood, and let's face it, the new bride can't cook every night. Believe it or not, it was the one thing that she & her fiance kept mentioning!

Now, this comes from a recent bride - just scan her registry and buy her something really nice/special from that. There is bound to be something. I can't tell you how many pitchers/bowls/wine glasses/etc I got that were lovely, but NOT my taste AND I couldn't return b/c they didn't give me a gift receipt. Also, I put stuff on my registry that I REALLY wnated - so I was super excited to get those gifts!

However, if you really don't want to - I think honey's idea of a gift certificate is good, or some pretty lingerie (I got something in my wedding colors and thought that was great!), or a cookbook of the food they like. Something in that vein that isn't "personal taste" oriented is good.
