Thumbs up PNM's: if you don't have a happy ending for rush...

I wanted to say that if you post your rush story, but have not so Cinderella endings, then you have determination, endurance, preserverance, grit, and a killer instinct. Not many girls that got cut (or dropped out) come back to greekchat.com. I know it's hard to see other people on the board get bids and you didn't, but c'est la vie. Just remember that there will be things that you'll be rejected in life. It's especially hard for those who have never been rejected for anything in their lives, but you can't let this rush experience ruin your life.

However, there is a desire in your heart that you won't quit if you don't get a bid. That's were the determination, endurance, grit, and having a killer instinct comes into play. And the perserverance comes from having the guts to post the outcome.

I wish that people that got cut would read this because this is motivation to take it in stride. These descrptions will come in handy in life and you'll go a long way.

Of course, there are student organizations on campus, but if you still want to be Greek, try not to throw the white towel in the ring.

If you got cut, stay on with us at greekchat.com. Just because things didn't work out well, doesn't mean you have to leave.

Also, if you haven't gotten over your rejection, talk to someone (i.e. RA or your friends that are non Greek or a guidance counselor) Go out somewhere with your non-Greek friends, like bowling, shopping, or to the movies to get your mind off of rush. The reason why I say non-Greek friends is because of the jealousy and frustration if they were going with NMs.

Finally, continue being yourself. If you change your image to a point where it's not yourself, then nine times out of ten, not only you will get rejected from getting in the sorority (multiple times), but also you will suffer from low self-esteem. So keep that head up.
