One of Your Awesome Sisters!
Hi ladies,
I recently read a letter from one of your alumna to my roommate and just thought I would share it with you because it showed what thoughtfulness lies in your members. This letter was sent after my roommate went to visit her uncle in the hospital and ran into some family friends.
*I did change her name to protect her identity*
I was stunned the other night when I walked into your Uncle's room. At first I didn't know who you were. . . .then I thought maybe Alison. . . . then you spoke and I recognized your voice. YOU ARE STUNNING! Not only the hair color (which is great for you, next time you probably want to look for Chestnut Brown or maybe the Darkest Auburn) but the total picture of Crystal Smith Sophomore at MSU-Pre Vet curriculum. I can't tell you how the inner beauty (which has always been there -- remember I have known you since you were a baby) now shines out for all to see.You always were the sweetest one of the Smith kids, the kindest and surest friend to all your circle. I never remember you saying anything unkind about anyone. . . not even those who deserved it. Your mother says she doesn't think you see yourself as pretty. You are more than pretty. Pretty is the right shaped face, with the right shaped eyes and mouth, the right hair style and that's all an accident. The beauty I see shining out now is the best kind. All of the above is there but an air of assurance and confidence is also there that didn't seem to be there in High School. Along with the pretty there is a maturity that 1 1/2 years away from home has given you. GO FOR IT GIRL!! Maybe in 6-8 years I will find a vet that I trust my animals to. I just couldn't let the moment pass and determined that I should tell you of my reaction. Lucky your first dye job resulted in orange and the new color is so great!!!!
I love you, your mother and the rest of the family.

Remember I'm a Sigma Kappa! Only one different letter away from Sigma Alpha, right!
