Question How often do you wear...

Lovingly boosted from the Pi Phi and ADPi forum

Please note if you are an active or an alumna

How often do you wear ... ?

1) Our letters?

2) Our colors?

3) Your pin?

I'd say I wear letters 1-2 times a week. As for our colors, I don't have a ton of silver stuff, and just a few "reddish" stuff.

I don't get to wear my badge nearly as often as I'd like. I almost wish work was a little dressier.

I wear letters maybe 3-4 days a week...I have a lot of letter shirts. I don't really have anything in our colors. And I don't wear my pin as much as I should.

Yeah, I'm an alumna now but still going to class as an undergrad. My fifth year...figured I'd the newer sisters figure out how things work.

1 - Rarely in public. Really, I only wear them during recruitment. I hate to say it, but I feel kind of silly at my age wearing letter shirts/sweatshirts, and now that I'm (finally) done with school, I think it's high time I stopped dressing like a college student. I sleep in an A Phi t-shirt, however, and I have a necklace that I wear a couple of times a month.

2 - Never. I don't think I even own anything bordeaux. I wear silver jewelry all the time though.

3 - Rarely. I only wear it at official A Phi events. I've worn it more in the last week and a half than ever before.

I'm more likely to wear subtle A Phi stuff, like the necklace I bought at convention or the bracelet MisterMadly gave me for my birthday. I also keep my Phi Bear on my desk at work, and he's wearing my new member pin.

I have a necklace that I almost never take off. I have my time card on a lanyard. That card is used to clock in, enter and exit the building. Don't wanna pay $10 a pop if I lose it!

As far as shirts, I wear them at home mostly working out or sleeping

I don't have a lot of silver and bordeaux. I have a lot of red because that is my fave color

What SisMadly said--this past week I have worn my badge more than I ever have. My work is not a place to wear it. It stays in the badge container I have (I take off my wedding rings at night and put them in the same container)--I hate sleeping with rings...I got to have a watch on though

Speaking for an older alumna I have to admit I have gotten rid of most of the letter stuff. I did just order some sweatpants but those are mainly for around the house. Love silver jewelry and I do have a lot of maroon shirts for work. At one point my husband and I had silver and bordeaux cars--ha ha. Unfortunately 12 years ago our house was burglarized and they crummy little *&&***%% took my pin. I just got a replacement off of ebay this week, it came monday and I can't wait to wear it.

I passed down most of my shirts... I just kept the last Bid Day shirt because I came up with the slogan, my nice bordeaux letter shirt, the rhinestone shirt from Recruitment last year, and 2 letter shirts I got made senior year (one is blue with stars on it because I'm a space geek, and the other is black with black/green ivy letters... it looks very classy).

I'm an alumna, and I wear letters around the house and sometimes to the gym, but only if I'm looking decent because I don't want to look like poop on a stick while wearing letters. I have these light blue low-rise sweats that I just ordered from sorority specialties because they were cheap and they're the most comfortable pants EVER. I don't really wear our colors, although now that I think about it, my car is sort of bordeaux and silver, so that should count.

I can't remember the last time I wore my badge. I was checking out the Masters of Design site the other day, and I really want this ring, which I'd probably wear once in a while.

Edited because I can't type!

I'm an active ... I'm forced to wear letters like almost every day, apart from the fact that I have an APhi necklace and black bag I use as my schoolbag says alpha phi. I only wear my pin for rituals, and colors for special events like sports or greek week (i.e. silver and bourdeux ribbon in hair...etc)

Amen, sis! And I hate to say it, but this carries over into your personal space as well -- especially your cars! The cars don't have to be brand new, but they should at least be clean inside and out!

1. our letters - I have a ratty letter sweatshirt from college that I only wear around the house. I have some cute bid day shirts and foundation t-shirts that I like to wear out and about on weekends.

2. our colors - never

3. I wear alpha phi jewelery -ie the Foundation young alum ivy leaf, a nice gold APhi pin I was given for volunteer work. I only wear my jeweled badge at meetings.

Oops! Ya got me! That is what I was doing on Saturday evening before going out! Cleaning out the hoopty! I hate "living in my car" (35 mile commute each way)

There is one thing good about a messy car: US customs agents usually let you go right on thru!

Letters...I have a tee with Alpha Phi spelled out in rhinestones across the front that I wear a lot, and I wear my silver lavaliere pretty frequently.

Colors..well, I wear silver jewelry all the time, does that count? I've got a couple of bordeaux sweaters, and come winter I'll break those out of the back of my closet more often.

Pin...I wore it last a couple of weeks ago. I recently got one of our red dress pins, though, and I'm wearing that a lot more often than I wear my badge.

Letters- Once or twice a week for clothing, plus I have the Tiffany style A-Phi necklace that I wear almost everyday.

Colors- My school's colors are crimson and gray, so because of the simlarity I wear my colors a lot more than I normally would.

Pin- I'm still a new member, so I have yet to be pinned.
