Hurricane Rita

Interesting how Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville's have this promotion about Hurrican Rita... wonder if they are still using this promotion.

On to more important things...

Hurricane Rita is heading back towards Texas and Louisiana. If you all could say a prayer for my mom, stepfather, 2 brothers in Texas (Mom was packing up and heading out of town last night when I spoke with her). They live 50 miles from the coast in north Houston.

Then onto Louisiana... my oldest brother lives in coastal Louisiana, Lafayette. So please pray that he and his family are safe. Then onto New Orleans where my step-brother is deployed. As of last update the Army was living out of tents. So hopefully by now that have figured out much safer living arrangements for them. Or are preparing to pull them out.

I will continue to pray for each of you also.

I can't even imagine the anxiety you must be having right now. I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers, as well as all the people affected on the Gulf Coast.

Oh hon, your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you or your family need ANYTHING, let us know.

My co-worker's son is also in New Orleans, living in a tent city as an Air Force doctor. He is treating any military personnel who become ill or injured as a general practitioner. I read today that they have plans for evacuating our militia, so I feel sure he'll be ok.

Updates

Well, my mom and all them are in Lafayette with my older brother and his family. If the storm turns and heads towards them then they are all headed North. So we will see. My middle brother is a freshman in college and he is "freaking" out because they say that his school is going to be hit hard... it is in the direct hit zone.
But they are all safe for now.

As to my step brother in NO... his group will either fly out on Friday or ride out the storm in the Naval Hospital. So all will be well.

Think about out sisters in Corpus Christie. That is the only chapter in that part of Texas.
