Wtf???
Okay, so this guy and I have known each other for about 8 years. 2 1/2 of that he was married, and of the other 5 1/2, we didn't speak to each other for about 3 of it. We've dated on and off, and are "off" right now, but still speaking to each other. So the other night he tells me he still has feelings for me, but he has to get himself together before he dates anyone. I believe him, since he has crazy stuff going on right now, and he isn't dating anyone else. It kind of threw me though, because I thought that he was totally over me.
But then last night, the big shocker came. I was talking about what I was going to do after law school, and how I wanted to move back to the town we're both from, but I don't want people to think I'm moving back for him. In the course of conversation, he said "well, if we get married after you're out of law school, I don't want to be a [insert shitty job of the week here] anymore. I would borrow the money from you to take the real estate test, and then we would have enough money to do whatever."
Whoa. Besides the fact that he would borrow money from me, which is a little presumptuous, did he just drop the M bomb?
So what do you think? Slip of the tongue, late night random thoughts, or what? Let me know if you think this is stupid, it just kind of threw me...

It sounds like this guy is a needy little weasel who is terrified of being alone.
Run. Far away. NOW.

I find myself agreeing with Valkyrie. It's not a reflection on you, but he definitely seems a little on the weaselly side.

Yeah, he's REALLY needy. He's a total mama's boy...which is fine to a limit. He's a good guy, but I just don't know what to think.

I absolutely hate when people pull this shit. Hon, you are clearly an intelligent girl because you're able to see through his bullsh*t enough to question it. This guy is trying to keep you interested enough so that you don't move on and (gasp!) have a life without him. He's playing games with you to keep you on the backburner. I cosign on everything people have said...get away from this guy.

Good use of the term "weasel".

Yeah, if he has a pointy nose and long hairy body, I'd say put him on a leash in your high falluntin' job and dump his ass where everyone can see the stank animal that he is...
