Six Feet Under

Does anybody else watch this show?? I'm addicted!

Remember the first show of the season where Nate died and came back to life? They showed him and Brenda with a baby...I think that Lisa is going to committ suicide and Nate and Brenda are going to get back together and raise Maya. What do you guys think?

Oh my gosh.....I don't know! This show is so utterly fantastic! Last night's episode was great....

My comments and speculations:

Russell- I just *knew* he was gay! Claire is so wonderful...why does she end up with these guys? Russell is nice, but one cannot be a boyfriend while having sex with their art teacher. No no no

Nate/Lisa/Brenda thing-AOX, I completely forgot about that!!! I wondered at the time how it was all going to tie in...! The previews where Nate gets "the call" (I assume about Lisa) and he starts crying has me on the edge of my seat!!! I think Lisa walked in and saw Nate & Brenda kissing. Suicide? Maybe....

I love SFU. Seriously haven't watched it in weeks though b/c school has been busy, but they are all on the TIVO waiting for me...

Does anyone else miss the quirkiness of the first season?
1. The deaths were far more interesting
2. The dead people always interacted with the Fishers, with Dad playing a big part in it.
3. Those funeral home products commercials were HI-larious (you can still see them on the SFU web-site).

Anyway, it's still good, but I always thought it was cool to see the dead people talking to them...it's how I imagine a mortician's life must really be....talking to the dead people, that is....

I did catch one ep a while back...does anyone else get creeped out by the intern living in their house?

I just didn't know what to think about that episode. It was like watching a train wreck followed by a car wreck followed by a plane wreck-- totally awful.

Remember watching ER when Dr. Greene got the isht kicked out of him? This was like that, only 40 minutes longer and a thousand times worse. Left an awful taste in my mouth. I just felt sick.

If that's the reaction they were going for, man, they got it.

Looks like David's going to have serious heart trouble from that. If I were him, I'd have gone to the hospital and told them that I'd had to smoke crack at gunpoint, and that I wanted a full test of vitals to see whether anything had gone a little wacky.

Can these people just have some happiness? I mean, I almost want to see the blind date between Ruth's friend and whatsisname's son, since they both seem to like poop as a revenge motif, just so there'd be some twisted happiness somewhere.

Side note: Brenda's new guy is cute (in a very strange way, but still cute).

Whoah......I have it on TiVo (at least I hope I do, given my recent problems with DirecTV), but I haven't watched it yet. Hope to see it on Saturday.

That last episode was so disturbing. I thought for sure that he was going to set David on fire. I know he was the victim and all but I can't believe he picked up a hitchhiker....in LA!!! That's insane. I hope he eventually tells the rest of the family what happened to him.

I'm thinking that stripper is going to mess up Rico's life. I don't get why he started hanging out with her. Did anyone else notice that the actress playing her is Idalis, the MTV VJ from back in the 90's?

I knew her name was Idalis, but I was hoping it wasn't the same one!

Last week's episode was one of the scariest things I've seen on television in recent memory. David needs -- and I mean NEEDS -- to get a grip on his danger/self-loathing issues. While he sits there preaching at Keith for being in the closet at work, thinking with his hoo-hoo has gotten him in beaucoup trouble.

Ok, so yesterday I got cable(!!!) and I watched SFU last night. Can someone please tell me what's going on?!?! The parents, have they been married forever or are they a relatively new couple? And what's going on with the guy with the little girl hooking up with the woman with the french horn playing boyfriend?

Thanks!

OK. Get your butt to the movie store & start renting the prior seasons on DVD! You must see them to understand how everyone interacts now.

At the risk of being spoilery-ish (for anyone who hasn't seen prior seasons), I'll try to answer some of your questions w/a very brief rundown, but can't tell you everything....you need to go see the prior seasons, at least season 1. I'm not sure I'd like the show now if I hadn't seen the first season. It was much quirkier & darker than it is now...you got to learn more about the dead people & their lives back then, and the dead people used to interact w/the Fishers as well...

Parents: George & Ruth just got married at the end of last season. Ruth is the widow of Nathaniel Fisher, the prior owner of Fisher & Sons Funeral Home (now Fisher & Diaz). He was killed in the first ep while on his way to pick up Nate (guy w/the little girl) from the airport. We don't quite know what George is all about yet.

Nate (guy w/the little girl) hooked up w/Brenda (girl w/french horn guy now) in a broom closet @ the airport on the day his father was supposed to pick him up from the airport...long story short, they stayed together in a wildly unhealthy relationship...then broke up...Nate married Lisa (mother of Maya), then Lisa disappeared/died. Now, Nate is messing around w/Brenda, even though Brenda is supposedly in a "healthy" relationship w/french horn guy....

Seriously, go rent the DVDs...you don't know what you're missing.
