Well, Philly definately represented this past Saturday at the Stomping on the Yard stepshow. The house was packed and the party was on. The D.J. was off the chain, people were dancing at their seats, sororities and fraternities were getting their stroll on down on the floor. It was nothing but a big party from beginning to end and I can't wait until next year. The themes and props were elaborate.
The sorors from Chicago did the damn thing. They were classy and sharp, didn't miss a beat, step, or drop a cane. They were in one word...beautiful, in their rhoyal blue heels and 10 pearls and 2 rubies glued to the side of their faces. We were all just so proud and SGRho represented to the fullest with our whole area (each group had their own area of about 5 rows) filled up. But unfortunately the sorors didn't win although IMO (and in the opinion of many), they certainly should have. Instead the Zetas won and for the fraternities, the Alphas won.
I know one thing, the big themes and props are nice but we need to get back to stepping more than anything in these shows. Our sorors stepped the whole time while other groups got caught up in theatrics and I'm not hating, I'm just telling it like it is. But be proud of our sorors because they represented to the fullest and everyone knows it. EEEEEE-yiiip!!! My voice is still sore from all the screaming I was doing.
