at this point i wish it would just come out and fail miserably already, because i'm sick of seeing/hearing all the promotions for it. it looks really lame.

I am taking my neice to see it tomorrow. If nothing else Matt Dillon will be a nice diversion for an hour and a half. If the movie is stupid,I at least I'll have him to look at.

I heard Ms. Hohan stormed out of the premiere because they didn't play her song in the movie but during the credits. I'm hating the movie because it has Jeff gordon in it.

Not really about the movie, but...
Can we have a moment of silence for the new Volkswagen Bug that I saw painted to look exactly like Herbie as I was driving home from work today? I'm talking white, with the red and blue stripe, and the number on it. It said nothing on it that would make me believe it was a promotional thing like one of those advertising cars. Who would pay all that money to paint their car to look like that.

I loved the Herbie movies when I was little, so I will most likely take my girls to see it. Maybe this weekend.
Lindsay Lohan looks really cute in the commercials. I guess the movie was made right before she became a blonde skeleton.

When we lived near Bristol, there was a family who had what appeared to be a full-sized replica of Jeff Gordon's car inside a special glassed tent in the front yard. They also had flower beds that made the number 24 and had used color coordinated flags all around their Victorian home...

That is just too much! Fans need to know when to stop. Although I have seen a Monte Carlo painted just like the #8 Bud car without the number and decals. It was nice.

I heard that during a test screening, mothers were complaining about Lindsay's, um, assets being displayed so prominently in the movie. Guess they don't like the fact that she had big boobs. So they had to go in an digitally reduce her breast size for the final cut.

That was proven false.
Edited to add:
"Images of the star in the film have already caused controversy after parents argued that Lindsay Lohan's character was too busty and revealingly dressed for a children's film.
It was claimed that Disney technicians have gone back and digitally raised necklines on her shirts and reduced the appearance of her breasts by two cup sizes.
However, Angela Robinson, the director of the film, denies any behind-the-scenes alterations to prevent Lohan being too sexy for the film.
"No, we didn't digitally reduce her boobs," she said."

I hope this doesn't offend any Dale Earnhardt fans on GC, but my sister and I were behind a pickup truck at a stoplight and she pointed out the prominently displayed number "3" (or maybe 8? Whichever his car number was) with a halo over it. And I knew it was mean and wrong, but I lapsed into a giggle fit that lasted a good 20 minutes. It just struck my funnybone for some reason.

Thanks for the clarification Although I have to admit that her boobs do look smaller to me in the previews.

WE LOVED THE MOVIE!!! It is definitely a feel-good, happy, kid-friendly movie. I grew up with the original Herbie. This makes me so happy to see his cheery face and to hear his happy "beep-beep" again!
