First Canadians/Americans European?

Has anyone seen anything relating to a recent hypothosis that the frist peoples of the Americas may have crossed from Europe?

Discovery Channel Canada recently aired a program entitled "First Canadians" which deals with recent DNA evidence which purports to show a European migration some 17000 years ago.

It's known as the Soultrean Atlantic Migration Theory - which argues that humans migrated across the frozen North Atlantic - and is slightly supported by some archaeological evidence - although not concretely because lithographic technology can express itself in similiar ways in seperate cultures.

This theory does not call into question the Alaskan Ice Corridor Theory, but adds a further complication to the pre-historic settlement of the Americas.
