Anyone from KC, MO - URGENT!! EBAY

Okay, this isn't super urgent, but there are 2 framed chatper composite photographs on ebay from the Delta Phi chapter and have 3 days left. I have contacted EO to get the proper people contacted to ensure this ends up in the hands of the chapter, but I thought it might help to post here if someone has the contact information for the AA President, District International Officer or chatper President.

Item numbers 7719407138 & 7719407136

heck I may just bid on them and have them sent to the chapter. I don't know yet.

I saw this as well, as was concerned. I even went to their website to find someone I could email, but there was no contact addresses at all. I REALLY hope they get these back!

There seems to be an adpi who is the highest bidder on both. Did either of you contact this person? It might be someone from the chapter...

I got a reply from the Chapter president. Thanks for everyone's help. Hopefully these will end up in the home they belong in. (Thanks HB)

I'm so glad they will be going back to the chapter! I wonder how they ended up in someone else's possession? That's just wrong

No problem Sherra, I was actually going to email the chapter when I saw them on ebay but its been a busy week at work.

Just because I'm curious, what did the president say? Are you going to buy them then donate or are they going to bid on them?

T*P maybe it was a prank and some other GLO got a hold of them and no longer want them so they figured they'd make some money off them...I know at school stealing another chapters composites was a big prank and if you could get one from each you were just that much cooler.

I have to AMEN this sister! (SO many don't understand the importance of history) She understands the importance of these pictures. She said they are from a few years after the chapter colonized. She is going to let me bid on them and then the chapter will reimburse me...if we decide on it. I may just donate.

My guess is that sometime during the tenure of the chapter some function or move took place where the pictures came down and were stored at someone's house. They weren't returned to the chapter. I'm guesses that this is a result of an estate sale and the seller doesn't know these don't belong to the person they are selling them for...or bought them from. Does that make sense? I'm going to email the seller after the auction. i don't want to ruffle any feathers.

The fraternities here at Akron love to do that prank, as well as the girls. I know weve pulled off some awesome composite pranks in my day as a delta. Even when I was a Rho Gam, we went out as a kind of sorority union and stole a bunch. They always went back to the place they came from though. I know at least when I was in the frats would never do that because wed only steal from ones who we knew or had guys the girls were dating in. My hubby was in a frat so we knew it would get returned if they took anything.

I cant imagine it being on ebay. Thats horrible. I hope it got back to them ok.

After looking into these more, they are only the 14" ones that are given to the girls after a composite is done. The chapter president, advisor and I have decided not to bid on them. Thank you all for your concern. It is great to see so many sisters care about the history of all adpi chapters, not just their own.

On an interesting note, I at least know one of my chapter's early ones is that size. I have not gone through our storage area to see if any others are as well...
