Hey, anyone know if he's really this big?

I guess I wouldn't know from personal experience... but he certainly LOOKS just that big in his music videos. I wouldn't look at this album cover and think it has been doctored to make him look bigger, because he looks equally huge in video.

Doesn't matter when the lights go off and you can't reach your gat, right Curtis?
I wish all these 50 Cent worshippers would watch Beef or read up on the Blackchild incident and find out who the real wanksta is.......
Who had a knife, who had a glock, who got stabbed, who DIDN'T get shot?

stan, you should read up on some incidents before 50 was signed by the Dre/Eminem camp . . . i think you're a little 'narrow' here

Yeah yeah, he did SOME hard stuff......but the Nas diss coming out soon (hopefully) will shed light on all of that...
Besides, who wants beef with a SNITCH? I'm just saying, for all the shit he talks about, he's done some pretty wanksta stuff too...
And don't tell me "wouldn't YOU have pressed charges?" because I'm not a rapper who claims to do otherwise.
Damn I wish hip hop was still judged on lyrical ability, then jada's diss would have ended this.....hopefully enough Nas fans will let everyone know what's up.
And if anyone has a problem with that last statement, go listen to KRS, BDK, Rakim or Slick Rick then come tell me the MCs of today are lyrically better.

Just an aside:
50 is coming here July 12, not with Eminem, but with Luda, Li'l John, G-Unit and Brooke Valentine. Minneapolis ain't gonna know what hit it.

you intentionally made the question flawed - the guys you're comparing these MCs to are not MCs at all . . .
Comparisons from the 'old school' you mentioned to those like Kweli, or even someone like Edan would be more appropriate - not to mention far more positive.

Asking if Fiddy Cent is REALLY that big, is like asking if Oprah is really this small.

"I don't know why 50 always brags about getting shot nine times. I mean, I guess you could brag if you shot nine people, but if you get shot nine times doesn't that just make you kind of slow with bad reflexes?" -- my friend
And that picture is gross.

I'd agree, except hip-hop is still hip-hop, and as commercialized and wack as they are, guys like 50, Ja and Nelly are regarded by the majority as being "top MCs" by many music fans, a lot of whom DON'T know who BDK and KRS are, and I say that to those (which I see now doesn't include you) who feel that 50 and Ja are great lyricists to actually learn their history.
Yeah, it's a sad commentary on today's hip-hop, but I feel you have to compare them to really appreciate what true hip-hop is about, because too many people who've gotten into the music these last few years don't know anything beyond 1998. And ONLY when old school artists are truly recognized for their influence and their music will these new guys get found out.
Now, those who appreciate Talib and Common and know better, you're absolutely right. My point is only to show how far we've regressed in terms of actual lyrical ability.
And as for 50's toughness....well, let's wait till them disses come out and see how he addresses them.
