New Chapter
Miami University – The Newest Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi
Alpha Sigma Phi is excited to announce the petition approval for its newest chapter Epsilon Pi – Miami University (OH). On Saturday, May 14, after reviewing the chartering petition and a presentation by Colony members Heath Stephens and Mike Walther, the Grand Council voted unanimously to name Miami University Colony as the Epsilon Pi Chapter.
While the journey has not been easy, these men have quickly become a decisive influence amongst not only the Greek Community at Miami, but also the entire university community. Most notably, as an interest group, they started Miami University Fraternities Against Sexual Assault, M.U.F.A.S.A, a program designed to educate the campus on sexual assault.
Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Leadership at Miami said, “The colony is sure to become one of the most exemplary chapters on campus.” During his tenure as IFC President, Tom McCartney said of the group, “Not only were they men of superior character, they were also men that were deeply committed to strengthening their chapter, brotherhood, and the campus around them.”
Watch for more news in August regarding their initiation and chartering ceremony.
