summer reading

I have done a search but still can't find the title of this book that I swear I read about here online.

Again, I don't remember much but it's a short read, takes place in NYC and is pretty dark. And I think the lead character (a guy) puts in personal ads hoping to find a girlfriend and ends up dating tons of woman. But it's not a funny light book, I hear it's pretty serious but really good too.

Can anyone help me find the title of this book please?
