There's no such thing as a "wglo" right?

Are you talking about an NPC sorority? Because I'd hate to think that I'm in a WGLO!
If you're in an NPC sorority, and have NOT been initiated, you can pledge whatever sorority you'd like, after one year.

I think it would depend on your school. I would find out (should be easy) if the hispanic sorority is part of the Panhellenic council and follow the rules of said council. I know at my university the hispanic sororities are not part of the panhellenic and therefore one could be in a NPC sorority which is part of the panhellenic council and a hispanic, which is not part of the panhellenic council. You can find this out by calling the greek life office. you probably will have no problem joining a hispanic sorority, unless as i stated before the hispanic sorority follows panhellenic rules and then would require you to wait one year from when you accepted your bid.

Why not? I'm proud to say I'm a member of a BGLO.

Because NPC organizations are not WGLO's. They do not discriminate based on race, all races are welcome.

Ask the office of Greek Life at your university about re-rushing, and if there is a period of time you must wait to rush this Latina sorority. If they belong to the campus Panhellenic, it is likely there will be a similiar waiting period.
To rush the group, make sure that you are registered for their recruitment-- the office of Greek Life can advise you of how to do this whether it is a formal or informal recruitment.
To prepare for recruitment, check out the Rush Forum, look online to see if the group has a national and local chapter website, prepare appropriate outfits for the events and practice basic conversation starters (How did you come to join XYZ? Tell me about yourself. What kinds of activities are planned for the semester at XYZ?) and prepare some anecdotes to share.

jubilence, I prefer that you don't categorized my organization as a WGLO. Please respect my wishes.

BGLOs are committed to the black community. NPC/NIC organizations are not. It's that simple. Hence they are not WGLOs. And many do not have exclusionary clauses.

I didn't catagorize, the original poster did.
I simply asked why the term was deemed offensive.
Please respect my right to ask a question.
