Talking Member Services site is coming!

from the Alpha Gamma Delta website:

The Member Services section, which is currently in its final stages of testing and programming, will be accessible exclusively by Alpha Gamma Delta members in Good Standing. Get a sneak peak of some of the features of the new section below!

My Profile
“My Profile” can be used to update your contact information, create a new username or password and decide what information you would like to include in your member profile.

Today’s Birthdays
Are you wondering which sisters are celebrating a birthday? Check out “Today’s Birthdays” to find a full listing of all sisters celebrating (birth years are not included!). “Today’s Birthdays” can also be used to search for birthdays on any other day of the year as well.

Sister Search
Search through the Fraternity’s database of sisters using a variety of search criteria, including name, address, initiating chapter, initiation year and college/university, to reconnect with sisters around the globe.

My Addresses
Once you’ve found a long-lost sister, make sure you keep in touch by adding her to your convenient Alpha Gamma Delta online address book. “My Addresses” is a great way to keep your Alpha Gam sisters' addresses and contact information organized and easily accessible.

Chapter/Club Contacts and VST Contacts
Have a question for a Volunteer Service Team member or want to get in touch with the local alumnae chapter? Find contact information for Volunteer Service Team members, collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters/clubs and Junior Circles with the Chapter/Club Contacts and VST Contacts features on the Member Services section.

Forms
Download commonly used forms for your convenience. Forms currently available include the Legacy Introduction Form and Recruitment Information Form, with plans for additional forms to be included in the future.

Songs
Can’t remember the words or tune to your favorite Alpha Gam song? Visit the “Alpha Gamma Delta Songs” page for all of your musical needs!

After signing up the first time with your member number, you logged on using your email and a password. I'm glad that the TUNES to songs will finally be available!

maybe since it's been so long they'll have us all re-register. I wouldn't stress over this until it's up and running and we see how we need to access it.

Hey! The new site is now open. How cool!

How does this compare to the old one? I never saw that one?

It's pretty similar to the old one--it just looks different. Also, the songs are a new addition, and hopefully they'll be adding more to their song list, especially for those who don't know them too well.

I also like how it's easier to search for VST contacts now!

I really really really really wish they had some kind of message board and chat function enabled, that way we'd know for sure everyone's a sister!

I agree with the need for message board(s) and chat. They had the chat function before but it didn't work very well and it was hard to catch sisters on...didn't set up a regular chat schedule like we have on GC...okay, used to have

As I mentioned before, it would be great if one of the message boards was for local r positions, EC or not. That would widen the "net" when chapter advisors don't know who could be interested, lol.

I shot an email to Kathy, Director of Info at IHQ asking her if there were any plans to add the MB and chat to the Members Only site.

I got a quick response! Right now they're exploring all aspects of adding these features, but the big thing is liability, and she noted that other GLOs have had to pull their chats and MBs offline because of some of the content.

But...phase two is in planning mode, so more features will be on the way! YAY.

Thumbs down it's here, it's here !!

It's here now !!!!

Although there's alot I like about it, like the searching features, I'm kinda disappointed that the "Forms" section doesn't have forms related to collegiate operations (i.e. Initiation Application, Supplies Order form, Payment Voucher Request, etc. etc. etc.).

I loved listening to the songs. If they are accurate, then I sing both the Hymn and Grace incorrectly !!! What do y'all think ?

I know that they have been working on getting the rest of the important forms online for a few years now, and I'm guessing that that's what Phase Two is for. She assured me that they aren't even halfway done with the Member Services site!

And don't worry, the girls in the collegiate chapter still sings the chorus of the hymn incorrectly and it drives me nuts! Hopefully they'll know the correct way after listening to tune!

I think they are waiting until the new handbooks and forms are ready before they post them on the web site (from discussion at Convention). They were planning out the handbooks so that the vast majority of them could be posted. Some things are too sensitive to post online (even on a members only site) so they will still be in hard copy only.

Thumbs up Collegiate Manuals

Most of them are now on there! There are only 3 team ones missing but they will probably be on there soon.

Officers can't use the excuse they don't have the form.

They can read the CA manual and see what I am supposed to be doing...yea, I'm doing it.so don't ignore me
