Post Ag Ed

Hello All!
I'm from the Univ of Maryland where we are this close *holds fingers cm apart* from becoming a SID- so hopefully we will join the ranks soon!
I am seeking your help though on a totally other subject besides SA. I'm looking for a good school with a strong undergrad ag. ed. department. It'd be nice if there was a SA chapter there too- but hey another can always be started! If anyone is from CO and knows of any can you tell me? I've found a school in every state so far except CO that has ag ed I believe (least off the east coast)

Thanks a million!

Shelley :-)

Shelley--I spent time in Northern Colorado at ConAgra Beef Company. Colorado State University has solid Ag. courses and a top notch faculty.

I just moved back to the Eastern Shore of MD and unfortunately cannot put my fingers on any business cards in order to refer you to a specific faculty member. But it definitely would be worth your while to research the University further. Good luck.

Hi Shelley,

This is Sarah from the Nu chapter of Sigma Alpha at Colorado State University. I would be happy to get more information for you so drop me an email about the kind of information you want. We have a couple of alumni going to grad school for ag education, so I'm sure they could give you more information too.

West Virginia University has an awsome Ag-Ed program. We have three options(teaching, technology, or communications) it is a four year program and we do have a Sigma Alpha Chapter. The college's main web page is www.wvu.edu, from there you can go to the college of Ag, For, and consumer sciences, we are in the division of resource managment.
It truely is a great campus and an awesome major. If you want more info email me

Hi!!

Greetings from the Zeta Chapter. I'm not an Ag Ed major but from what I hear LSU has an outstanding ag ed department. We are actually trying to get an instructor in the ag ed department to become our faculty advisor. If you would like any information feel free to email me and I will help you out as much as I can.

Good luck with the SID process!!!

Allison
