Question
I read a topic in another forum that was interesting to me called "Wearing letters/colors while drinking?" They said you shouldnt do anything in your letters/colors that would have a bad impression on others about your sorority or frat. Im not a member of any sorority but I wanted to know what you guys thought about smoking cigarettes while wearing your letters or colors?

B & B -
There is a thread in this forum called "rules" started by Honeybee that touched on this question. The consensus seems to be that it depends on what the overall attitude of your campus in general is toward smoking.

I think smoking is fine (it really doesn't portray the same bad image as drinking does). It does, of course, matter WHAT you're smoking.
I went to visit another sorority (the name will not be mentioned) a little while ago. I saw girls WITH THEIR PLEDGE PINS on, drinking and smoking and being very licentious with the opposite sex. It really disappointed me. I know some chapters have rules regarding what can be done with the pledge pin on (the 5 S's come to mind), but this was ridiculous

33girl: You are funny! Sorry but the "5S's" aren't anything bad! Here's an explanation:
Alpha Chi Omega's 5 Standards keep the sorority thriving. All new members must meet and exceed the standards which are Academic Interest, Character, Financial Responsibility, Leadership Ability and Personal Development.
Alpha Chi Omega chooses members by considering those 5 basic criteria.
Hope that helps!

Actually, I wasn't referring to the 5 Membership Criteria, but to the 5 circumstances during which a new member doesn't have to wear her pin. I'm not sure if it's esoteric, tho...

I'll be honest...I was totally there with 33girl on wondering about the 5S's. But now AXGirl's response has made me even more curious. I think mainly because we're not allowed to require girls to wear their pins. stupid hazing policy!
But then the 5S's are probably like the 3B's during rush...not really interesting at all. (I hope that doesn't sound like I'm trying to slam them. I guess they could be interesting. Sorry! I'm to tired to be thinking this much. )

Let's leave this one alone please. If you aren't sure then the answer is probably yes. Email me if you have any questions! Love to all my sisters
