Strings of "luck", fortune

Have you ever gone through a string of good fortune, but thought "shit, it can only get worse from this point on".

I've had probably one of my better weeks this school yr. The Family Guy thing, Wednesday being my holiday, an interview for an internship in New York, getting a shit load of work done and getting good grades on a lot of other shit, plus we ended 3 yrs of soccer futility by beating Theta Chi.

I said last night (knocking on wood) "this has been a pretty good week"

But now, as the weekend approaches, I'm reminded that for every good day, I seem to have a bad one, so with two parties approaching this weekend, I have a BAD feeling.

Anyways, to recap, have you ever just felt that life is often "too good to be true"

Yeah, I've had those weeks. I'm currently going through a two week phase where something bad happens, then something good happens.
i.e. boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend) turns out to be a habitual liar, then I got a nice raise and promotion at work. My sister had forgotten to give my taxes to her father-in-law (who does them for me) for weeks, then I got a phone call from the company I'd kill to work for to set up an interview. Then I call them back and they need someone who speaks Spanish and I don't. Then I find out I'm getting a refund on my taxes and then my car breaks down. The next day, it turns out to be something very minor and cheap. Next my dresser falls over and breaks my favorite picture frame and my alarm clock.
I think I'd take the string of really good luck like you're having opposed to this freaking roller coaster I'm on that doesn't seem to stop.
Good luck on your interview for your internship!
