What to do with your letters, shirts...
I spent the day cleaning out my extra bedroom today so it can beome the nursery. Exciting but quite a chore! Now, I've got a suitcase full of ADPi shirts, letters, shorts, you name it. can't stand the idea of just giving that stuff away and having some random person wear them.
If we had a chapter in Colorado still, I'd pass them on. Anyone know of a chapter in need of some cute shirts for their Alpha's?
I've also heard of a quilt pattern that's been passed around before.
Any ideas, sisters?!

Hmm, I'm not sure. I don't have a lot of shirts so I've been buying some from ebay so that I can eventually make a quilt from them.
I think some other sisters on the board are trying to make a quilt too, you might be able to hand some off there. If you didn't want them, I know I'd be more than willing to send you some money to send the shirts to me so I can make my quilt.
Sorry that I don't have much advice.

Back in college, we use to always ask sisters for adpi shirts and paraphelia they no longer wanted and we would send it to one of our Canadian chapters. We started doing this after a TCC told us that the Canadian chapters had to pay an extra fee for anything they purchased off of Gift Mart since they were considered out of the country.
We'd also do the same for new colonies but I guess that doesnt help since we dont currently have any...
Have you considered sending it back to your own chapter? We had a bunch of tshirts that got handed down from a senior to a junior every year that had some history behind it. I'm sure they'd love the history behind it. One of our sisters had a 1983 Spring Formal tshirt that was just as old as our chapter and there is a pair of sweatshirt letters that have Eta Beta on the back that get passed down as well.

Hey, lady! How are you? If you want the quilt pattern, talk to Suzanne or Rita because they both have an ADPi t-shirt quilt. Eventually I will be making one of my own. I know that some quilt shops offer a t-shirt quilt class, too.

Yesterday was pretty bad. A lot of roads were closed, it snowed all day long, and there were white-out conditions at times. I think we got 8-10 inches at the house. Our power went out about 10am and didn't come back on until about 8:30pm, as we were getting ready to go to a hotel! It was freezing in the house and we were worried about our little doggie!
In true Denver "fashion", the sun is shining bright today and the snow is quickly melting. I know some areas got hit worse than us, but I'm not sure how they are doing now.

We could always have a t-shirt swap-----new fun things to look at, wear, for our quilts, etc........

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, my chapter closed in the late 90's and it was the only one is Colorado. My mom is quite the seamstress so I may do the quilt thing.

At DLC this year, we collected 'gently worn' letters/etc. for the D-3 Canadian chapter - and the warm-weather clothing went to the newly established chapter at U Miami. If you have 'gently worn' items, giving to collegians is very rewarding.
