For those of you on various Yahoo groups you may have seen this already, I apologize if you have. I'm in the middle of data collection for my dissertation and still need LOTS of people to take the study. For those of you that complete the survey and email me you'll be able to enter a drawing to receive fifty dollars. Ten people from the total sample will be so blessed lol. If you have any questions let me know via email:

If not please read below and participate if you can. You do not have to be a child of divorce to participate. I'm comparing adult children of divorce with adults from intact families. The only real requirements is that you are CURRENTLY involved in a heterosexual romantic relationship and you identify as African American.
I am a fourth year counseling psychology student at Ball State University in the final stages of planning my dissertation. I am interested in looking at the role that parental divorce plays in the lives of African American individuals. I am particularly interested in the effect divorce may have on the ability of African Americans to form relationships as well as the effect divorce may have on future earning power. To find out more about this topic, I hope to survey a number of African Americans across the country from both intact homes as well as those who experienced parental divorce.
I am currently soliciting participation of African American men and women between the ages of twenty-five and forty who are currently in heterosexual relationships. For those potential respondents who experienced parental divorce, you qualify if your parents divorced at or before your thirteenth (13) birthday. If you have any questions, please contact me at
msrddavis@aol.com. If you would like to participate, please click the link below or paste it into your browser.
All respondents will be entered into a random drawing to receive a fifty dollar cash prize. Ten total drawings will be held. You have to email me separately to be entered into the drawing.
Thank you for your consideration
