How'd everyone do in rush?

Just wondering how other Phi Sig chapters did. The guys at Ball State got 10 guys (last I heard).

Here at Zeta Triton (Montana State), we got 7 pledges and we're gearing up to start informal rush again next week!

We're finally being competitive again after a long drought, we were able to snag one guy who was both a legacy to us and Pi Kappa Alpha, so that was a plus for us, and we were much more organized pre rush than we ever have been before.

I'm one of 18 Sigma Class pledges at Xi Septaton Chapter

37 bids were handed out originally--all accepted--and about 26 stuck around long enough to get pinned.

We just handed out 30 bids which is absurdly huge for Spring rush here--nobody else handed out more than 15. We're doing incredibly well this year. Though of those 30, I think about 15 will still be here in a couple weeks cuz a lot of guys drop themselves once they find out fraternities take both time and money.

we handed out 15 bids last sem and 10 got in. this semester we handed out 9 and 9 are currently about to be associated. i think atleast 2 will drop. the spring has the less gung ho kids.

keep in mind we want to stay medium sized. we usually have 25 or so people rush. the kids we pick we want in, which can lead to some dissappointments. while we look at it as being exclusive, it is so you can feel honored to be a part of something as if you were special for some reason, not just any guy who signed a rush form from the ifc. everyone has a role to fill, and we arent cookie cutter, but we try to avoid being shit out random to fill out numbers. also, social retards need not apply.. you may pay dues, but you are going to kill my game wearing my letters. my 2 cents.

and ps i am def not hating on big fraternities... there are definately pro's and cons to both... and to george mason, one of your guys stopped by last year, we are trying to do a beltway bash next year with some virginia, md, del, nj, and pa. phi sigs and whatever sorority they invite or something. we'd rent out a bar in baltimore.

There would be no problem finding interest from Xi Septaton Chapter for a 'Beltway Bash'
