New "old" photos

Guys! Check out these great photos of our very first chapter, Gamma Zeta!

http://www.library.umass.edu/cgi-bin...e=All&itemnum=

The first one is what the house used to look like before serious renovations.

Check out the one of the guys reading. Look at the pillows.

This picture is of the fraternity council back in 1909, recognize anybody?!?!?!?!?!

Here is what the house looks like now:

Thought it was interesting.

That was interesting, and I like the pillows. I'm even more amazed at the guy lounging around in a three piece suit, though!

Pillow

I've often wondered about the coat of arms on that pillow and why the center portion of the lower banner is so much wider than the sides, when all it should contain is "Xi".

Why is that?

(I have a hi-res zoom of that part of the picture.)

ZAX,
Jono

Cool

GammaZeta, thanks for the walk down Memory Lane!

Great Work for sure. Reminds me of the 1941 Year Book I got off ebay.

Couldnt make out faces, but Norcross(SIC) do sound familiar dont it!

Hey guys,

Hopefully I'll be able to get to the Umass archives in a few days. l did some quick research and they seem to have quite a few documents relating to Lambda Chi Alpha. The Umass archives are actually pretty extensive and complete. The library is one of the biggest in the world and, despite being named after the communist W.E.B Dubois, is pretty good.

I'm going to make it my mission to get ahold of any documents and find the ULTIMATE trivia question for you guys on the Daily Lambda Chi Alpha Facts thread!

Cool

Kewel Bro.

Do your best!

Sounds like the game is a foot, right Jono!

Oh, the Annual (Book) I was refering to was Mass. State College, 1941, now U. Mass-Amhearst.

Particularly interesting was the LXA Pages.
