I haven't seen it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were going Gap-ish.
Talbots may be trying to skew younger. But they walk a fine line -- in the late 1990s, the chain was hammered when they delivered clothes that were too young and trendy for their customer base.
I'm a customer of Talbots -- it's very good for basics and classics, such as white dresses and skirt suits.
what is talbots? I think i've seen it at the mall before.. although i've never ventured in.
On the Gapish commercial note: I really like the Geico insurance commercial that mimicks the Gap commercials. "But they won't save you money on car insurance!" lol gets me everytime

i agree. something is going on at talbots-it seems to me that they are searching for a new identity. either that or they have developed a split personality-trying to attract a younger clientele while still appealing to their regular customer base. some of the offerings look like things you could pick up at k-mart. lately they have been hit or miss with me.
