Is the current Canadian government over?

I really hope today's budget passes. I really don't feel like returning to the polls so soon. Even though the last time this happend was during my life time (1979), I was only one, and could care less that Joe Clark and the Conservatives were done and that Trudeau returned to power. But now at the age of 26, what happens today is important to me. I just hope if the government dissolves, that it returns with a Liberal majority - even though I'm not the biggest fan of Martin

You know, I am not a Liberal fan. I never have been and never will. But as God is my witness I cannot let Steven Harper and the Conservatives get into power.

I also hope the budget passes. I don't want to go to the polls and I do not want to see any of the current parties in power.

I am a Green Party supporter through and through.

I can't see it being challenged... after all everyone got at least something that they wanted... pretty much every ministry or program got some increase to funding - and more importantly there was the tax cuts that the Conservatives wanted... ah the joys of yet another surplus year

Harper said that as far as he knows, the Conservatives have no plans to challenge the budget, so I think the Martin government is safe...for now.
