Unhappy What's Wrong With Joining Grad?

Do you get the same joy joining a grad chapter as you would joining an undergrad chapter? I hear people downing joining grad chapters. Do you guys downplay people who join grad chapters instead of undergrad?

There's nothing wrong with joining grad. Some people join graduate chapters because there was no chapter at the university they attended or they didn't have the means to join at that time.

I don't care how you came to Zeta as long as you take care of business.

Who cares? There are two doors to enter Zeta. Pick one, then get to work.

Question Is It True That.........

I heard that in order to officially be a member of any org, you MUST have a probate show. Is that true?

Sistergreeks of Zeta,

Please forgive the intrusion.

sunflower, where are you getting your information? The important thing is not the probate, it's what you do if and when you get in the Sorority. It's not about flash, nor pomp and circumstance, but WORK!

I joined AKA on the graduate level, and I'm sure there are vast differences between undergrad and grad, but all of the Sororities are about service - although each one has a different "focus".

I hope you find what you're looking for.

Sunflower02,

for AKA, the answer is NO.

this also from a member of AKA for 12 years and counting (financial and active). when you have questions like this, please go to the sorority's official website. if the info is not there, than it's most likely not true

More than likely this information is spread by people who AREN'T members. I guess it's better to ask then to go around believing foolishness.

I have a question too

If there aren't any members at your sschool but there is a chapter there, do you guys recommend getting closer to the bros of that sorority until Grad brings out another line?

From what I understand the chapter of the sorority you're interested in is "in active"?!

Talk to your greek life counsel at your school to find out more information about the chapter and what you can do to reactivate it. I have heard of some ladies only being able to reactivate the chapter by joining a graduate chapter and becoming general members. From there the paper work went through and they were able to reactivate the chapter at their undergrad school.

I don't think you should get closer to the "bros" of that sorority because they are still a seperate entity than the sorority. It's not like if they like you they will make you a member of XYZ sorority.
