Sad News: Chi O Sister's Accidental Death (UT-Chattanooga)

Sad news -- excerpt from story:

"UTC Student Dies Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
posted February 9, 2005

A UTC student apparently died accidentally of carbon monoxide poisoning while talking on a cell phone while her car was running in her garage.

Cassie Amanda Clements, 21, was found dead early Monday morning.

She shared the house in Red Bank with a sorority sister, officials said.

She had returned about 2 a.m. and shut the garage door after pulling into the basement.

A graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School, she was pursuing both majors in education and the nursing program. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority and a longtime employee of Chuck E. Cheese in Hixson. . . ."

It's a really sad situation. My roommate's best friend from high school is a Chi Omega @ UTC. She called up here the other day when it happened. It's a really tough time for all of them down there. Keep them all in your prayers for sure.

I also heard that the roommate was also in the hospital because the Carbon Monoxide got into the house. Not for sure, but definitely keep her in your prayers too.

That's terrible. The UTC greek family has seen too many tragedies in the last few months. They're all in my prayers.
