i hate it when they do that! i would email it, with a note that says an original is on the way. then mail the original with a cover letter (mentioning that i emailed one in and wanted to make sure they had an original with my sig.).

only attach a resume if you can (some jobs i've applied for required that i ONLY use the online application and say that putting "please see attached resume" not accepted.). if the application does not allow you to fully get your experience and skills across, attach the resume.

I'm trying to get more opinions on this.

If there is an ad in an online classified (say Craigslist or online newspaper) that asks for a resume and coverletter via email, do you send a separate file for the cover letter along with the resume or can the CL be the body of the email? (Assuming there is no address to snail mail the resume to.)
