If I'm a 90 year old man and I'm still married, I don't think I'd like anything that would allow me to still sex up that old wench. I would fight this.
Now if I was 90 and getting some tang from a 20 year old, then I'd enjoy it. But anyway, I don't want to subsidize some pervert that wants to bang either old chicks or really young chicks.

The American public gets held up again.
So to speak.

But will Medicare cover RU486 or birth control pills?
How about condoms?

Of course they won't. And the reason why has nothing to do with the abortion controversy or preventing teen pregnancy or any societal reason why they cover Viagro and not the items you mentioned. The reason is because the AARP is one of, if not the, largest lobby on the Hill and old people vote a heck of a lot more than you and I do- therefore they get stuff and we don't.
Really, condoms are a better choice for the American public to fund than Viagra, because at least they have public health value.
Oh, but FYI the services you mentioned are likely to be covered under MediCAID not Medicare. Medicaid is for the indigent of any age, but Medicare is for the elderly- but I get your point (and agree with it).

Isn't Medicare for senior citizens? I think most women in that age group don't need birth control or RU486.

But also health insurance also covers male "life style enhancers", while for years they refuse to do the same thing for women with birth prevention drugs.....it is that damn double standard. I which they *would* invent a birth prevention drugs for men, so they can also be covered by health insurance.

Anyone seen the commercials for, not Viagra, but one of the other erectile dysfunction pills where the voiceover reminds men to check with their doctor if their "erection lasts for more than four hours"?
Obviously, since I'm not a guy I have no idea how having, um, you know, one of those things but I would imagine it would really get in the way of things if it was "awake" for 4 hours.

It's called a priapism (after Priapus, the Roman god of fertility, almost always shown in classical Roman art with a hard-on the size of a Louisville Slugger ). It's extremely painful and sometimes merits a trip to the ER.

sidenote: you should ALWAYS go to the doctor if you have anything even resembling priapism . . . you could lose it, although the treatments aren't exactly lovely either. It can be quite serious.

I heard they ice it and if it still doesn't go down they can drain it.
I'm gonna cry now that I typed this.

You see, this is the very reason why I had to spend an extra hour studying fertile octagenerians back in school. Is retirement that boring that you have to risk making another kid??
