Lightbulb The positive aspects to Brassica napus?

I know that Brassica napus gets such a bad press but I don't see why. I mean, is it such a bad thing?

Are there positive sides to Brassica napus and are they getting enough attention?

Brassica napus pic

After all, Brassica napus (also known as oilseed ) can contain chemicals like omega-3 fatty acid to help reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. It's an important source of vegetable oil & can be cold-pressed to an extra virgin variety; or even used in pest control! It's also used to make bio-diesel. Fossil fuels won't last forever and our increasing reliance upon them threatens the planet we shall pass to our children and our children's children.

Yet despite this over and over again we are told that Brassica napus is bad; particularly by certain groups.
I try to mention there are good sides but then people threaten to have their brothers burn down my apartment and try to put glass in my food. I hesitate to say write your representative again but I think education is so important.

This is a weird ass thread.

About the rape ...I try to avoid consuming canola oil. I've heard so many negative things about it. Of course the canola oil council or whatever are going to say that the rumors are myths. I do know one thing for sure, canola oil is quite high in omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-6 can block omega-3 fatty acid absorbtion.

Try referring to it as brassica napus instead. It's the same thing, but it doesn't have the negative connotations associated with it that "rape" does

In fact, I took the liberty of correcting your initial post so that people wouldn't read it and think that you're trying to stir things up
