Tivo Tips

I am getting a little frustrated with my tivo. I missed the Apprentice season Finale last week because it didn't record. It taped an extra minute on Joey and skipped Apprentice all together. I thought since it was on the same channel, I would be able to do that without missing anything. I looked on the Tivo site and could not understand how to fix it (or if I can). If anyone knows how to do this please help! Any other tips for non-techno people like me trying to use tivo are appreciated as well!

The good news is that you didnt miss the Apprentice finale, thats this week.

As for your Tivo problem, is Joey being taped as part of a season pass? If so, I would assume that you have it set to end 1 minute late (or because NBC ran the show for an extra minute.) Since Joey was an hour show and ran onto the 8 oclock hour, the Tivo "saw" Joey and the Apprentice as being on at the same time, so it cancelled the Apprentice taping and continued to tape Joey, it did not recognize that Joey was only for one extra minute. Since Joey isnt regularly an hour show, this shouldnt happen again. But I would check your season pass (if Joey is on it) and change the end time anyway, just in case. Or go into the "TO DO LIST" (under "Pick items to record") to make sure that everything you want to tape this week is showing up.
