Farmville Four

Does your chapter ever do anything special with members of the Farmville Four (Sigma Sigma Sigma, Kappa Delta, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Zeta Tau Alpha)?

unless things have changed at fsu, we do not have a joint event with the other farmville four member on campus, which is kappa delta. when i was in school, kappa and pi phi had a joint semi formal dance, and i was always a little jealous of it.it would be neat to have a farmville joint venture!!

ZTA NYC Alumnae group just invited the 2 other members of the Farmville Four that have alumnae groups here (asa and kd) out for a dessert night. Sadly there were more Zetas than anyone else, only one other ASA girl came, but it was a really fun evening. Since we were all young girls in the city it was a good new girlfriends night out. The great thing about NYC even in a sorority alumnae group is there are always new people moving here so there's always new people coming to events!

Back at college competition was pretty tight with only a few hundred girls going thru recruitment and 4 sororities to choose from so even though we had Zeta, Tri-Sigma and ASA on campus we never did much with them. I think that it would have been a good idea tho, considering how small the chapters were. I doubt we could have done joint social events however, since there were always more girls at Moravian than boys! We were neighbors with Tri-Sigma and have done bbqs and what not. And since there's no fence marking boundaries we usually share the back lawn for homecoming, parents days, etc.

Just an FYI...I was doing some research on another project and found out that it was Zeta that coined the term "Farmville Four"! This was used first in our 1928 history and it stuck.

I attend Longwood University and am an active Kappa Delta. Recently we had a rededication ceremony for one of our buildings that burnt down. Each of the 4 national presidents for the Farmville four were present this day to talk to the sororities. KD also unveiled its bench that was thankfully not harmed by the fire that occurred in 2001 We also have a 4 sided clock in our campus courtyard that displayed all four of the sororities. We all get along and take great pride in being part of the "Farmville Four"

Unfortunately at the school I attended we are the only sorority from the Farmville Four. However there was an article in our latest publication about the meeting of the Farmville Four and the rededication of the building.
